DRAMA WARMERS/FILLERS – guest post
“Creativity can solve almost any problem. The creative act, the defeat of habit by originality, overcomes everything.” George Lois
I met Anna, my very first guest blogger, at TESOL France in November and I must admit that her workshop really inspired me and enriched my teaching style. I am teaching mainly adults and never actually used drama techniques in classroom. Nevertheless, I like everything new, everything that could possibly inspire and motivate my students, everything that could reach them. You might have noticed from my previous posts that I LOVE any kind of warmer/filler activity that can enrich and enliven the lesson. All those “five-minute activities” are essential when you have to work with given course book. Using these activities does not cost you much (time/energy) and they bring your lessons to life. They bring to life the language your students want/have to learn.
And let me add what I find very important when using them with your students – be creative, experiment and include an element of surprise as often as possible (yet still in context).
Here is Ania’s post.
Thank you very much for inspiration!

Hi Vladka!
Thank you so much for having Ania as your guest blogger – I will not get tired of saying how happy I am to have attended her workshop in France and how many ideas I got from her : )
And of course, I am also very happy to have met you for the first time in person there!
Hi Ania!
Thank you very much for the super ideas in this post – I particularly liked the one with the beanbags…actually I love all of them! I can imagine these activities unlocking all the students and getting them to speak : ) (I love your family picture!)
Kindest regards to you both,
Vicky
